SPECIAL PROJECTS
AWARDS AND ELECTIONS: The Student Steering Committee of the Hall of Honor “builds” the files on nominees for the Hall of Honor. We would appreciate contributions from former students and/or retired faculty. We are certain that you had a favorite teacher from your years at the school or a classmate who has gone on to do great things. To start a file or add to an existing one, simply send a letter of nomination to Ms. Angie Reeve, Hall of Honor Advisor, or send an email to areeve@austinisd.org.
SCHOLARSHIPS: Through a rigorous voting process, the top 1% of the current Senior Class is identified as Maroon Society. In 2002, Maroon Society recipients began to receive scholarship money from the Hall of Honor Endowment Fund. If you or your business would like to donate to the Endowment, please contact Ms. Reeve.
INSTALLATION CEREMONY: Installation this year will take place before the Grand Assembly. Inductees will be presented with their plaques. The Austin High School Continuing Education Foundation will also be presenting scholarships earned by deserving Austin High School Seniors. And the Maroon Society inductees will be announced.
